Primary objective of this position: MBP Door Solutions North West is an established branch, part of the MBP Group, we have over 30 years’ experience offering the building and merchant a wide range of interior fire door and non-fire rated interior door solutions. We are experiencing significant growth and are seeking a Merchant Sales Representative to support our North West region. You will ensure all enquiries and quotes are dealt with whilst efficiently processing new sales orders, dealing with customer issues and providing effective administrative support. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to growing the company by developing new business and growing existing customer bases within the merchant sector. This role is ideal for someone currently in an internal sales role who is looking to develop into an external sales role in the future. Location: Manchester. You may be required to travel to other sites and merchants across the UK on an ad-hoc basis. Contracted Hours : 40 Hours Monday-Friday Environment: Busy open plan sales office with manufacturing on site Key responsibilities and performance measures for this role: * Build new sales opportunities with our existing merchant customer base with follow-up quotations, calls and emails to generate new sales. * Identify customer's buying trends and provide reports to management. * Enter, update, and maintain CRM information on leads, prospects, and opportunities. * Grow new business by engaging with decision making stakeholders within the merchant customer base * Achieve sales KPI's and targets. * Work collaboratively as part of the wider sales teams and estimating team. * Participate in sales meetings to communicate pipeline and progress on sales opportunities * Identify leads, manage prospects and acquire new business. * Support existing clients. * Effectively demonstrate product line knowledge * Meet established goals and sales targets. * Work alongside current internal sales on large accounts. Minimum Qualifications / Experience Required: * Whilst not essential, experience working in the merchant sectors. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Strong customer service and sales background * Proficient with Microsoft packages (including Word and Excel) * Experience in a previous role would be desirable * A background in sales would be advantageous Key behavioural competencies: * Adaptable, self-driven & team oriented. * Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work. * Confident, resilient and target driven
