About the Role As a Senior Electrical Engineer (Design), you will play a key role in delivering engineering solutions for water and wastewater projects across the UK. You will be involved in the full project lifecyclefrom design and specification through to construction and commissioninghelping to enhance the efficiency and reliability of essential infrastructure systems. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review electrical engineering designs for water treatment systems Work with systems including: Motor Control Centres (MCCs) LV distribution systems Cabling and instrumentation Industrial networks, PLCs, and SCADA systems Develop and review technical specifications and procurement documentation Evaluate supplier bids and technical submissions Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, including client and WIMES standards Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient and practical solutions Build strong client relationships and support project objectives Mentor and support graduate engineers and junior team members R equirements Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline Chartered Engineer (CEng), Incorporated Engineer (IEng), or equivalent experience Proven experience as a Senior Electrical Engineer (or similar) for at least 2 years Strong knowledge of electrical design within industrial or infrastructure projects Experience working with PLCs, SCADA, and control systems Good understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites Experience within the water or wastewater sector Familiarity with WIMES standards Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities Additional Information Hybrid working model: 23 days per week in the Manchester office Opportunity to work on large-scale, impactful infrastructure projects Please note: Our client is currently unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
