Senior Chartered Building Surveyor – Remote (South Wales)
Covering: Cardiff to Swansea (M4 corridor)

We’re hiring for a Senior Chartered Building Surveyor to join growing independent consultancy offering property advice and surveying services across the UK. This is a fully remote role (there is no office) and you’ll be covering a manageable patch between Cardiff and Swansea — most of the work is local, along the M4 corridor.
What you'll be doing
1. Carrying out a broad mix of building surveys, reports, inspections, and consultancy.
2. Around 60% commercial and 40% residential - but prior residential experience is not essential.
3. Managing your own diary and workload - this is a senior, autonomous role.
4. Liaising directly with clients and delivering high-quality advice backed by experience.
5. Covering a small, defined region - no UK-wide travel, just the South Wales area.
This is a great fit if you’re tired of long commutes or being sent all over the country. It’s genuinely local work.
What we're looking for
6. You’re a Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS or FRICS) with solid experience under your belt.
7. You’re confident working independently, with a self-starting approach.
8. You’re based somewhere between Cardiff and Swansea (or nearby), with access to the M4.
9. You know how to manage your time, keep clients happy and get the job done without micromanagement.
