Digital signage & itv specialist - cruise line

Offer description

You will be in charge of all content, usage and designated users of ship-wide digital signage system and be responsible for the library and quality of on-demand videos and other media content used on the Interactive TV system.

Responsibilities:

Chief administrator & operator of ship wide digital signage system; Schedule & manage content for ship wide digital signs; Maintain library of content for digital signage system; Assign privileges to designated users; Train designated users on system use and creative skills needed for digital signs; Monitor designated users; Maintain brand standards & content integrity for all digital signs, artistic integrity of digital signage system and art direction (look and feel) of system; Work with Assistant Hotel Director to ensure digital signage is compliant with ship’s overall communication strategy; Update Wayfinding system data as needed; Update Venue finder data as needed; Update & replace old and expired content as needed.; Create new message templates as needed; Approve & publish new messages created by designated users; Create new media content as needed for signage system; Work closely with Broadcast staff on the creation and use of media required for digital signage; Ensure the daily activities schedule is updated & published; Trouble-shoot all problems on any given sign; Work with user groups to order replacement players or screens; Work with IT department on system network maintenance and to maintain database of all signs, locations, IP addresses, date of install, error logs, maintenance issues,; Load and monitor, maintain library and monitor quality of on-demand video & media content for ITV system; Coordinate shooting, editing and/or acquisition of video & media content for ITV system; Train one member of broadcast team as back-up in case of emergency and for vacation relief;

Requirements:

Three or more years television broadcast & production experience, including graphics creation and operation, video editing, shooting, producing, program scheduling.; Previous experience operating a networked digital signage system; Ability to operate Windows and Apple computer systems; Strong skills in graphics programs such as PhotoShop, After Affects, Illustrator, etc; Excellent attention to detail; Knowledge of computer networking – Local Area Networking; Teaching and coaching skills; Ability to work positively and cooperatively in a diverse team environment to meet overall established timeframes; Ability to communicate tactfully with, department heads, coworkers and other shipboard employees to resolve problems and negotiate resolutions; Completion of undergraduate degree in one or more of the following: media arts, broadcasting, video production or graphics design.; Ability to properly teach other crewmembers; Ability to read, write and speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with guests.; Ability to speak additional languages such as Spanish, French or German preferred.;

This role will require a Video Reel to be submitted if successful.
