Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Full TimePrivate School, Blackburn
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our senior school team at a well-established private school in Blackburn. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to provide meaningful, one-to-one support to a student within the senior school (year group to be confirmed).
Start Date: ASAPSalary: £16,254.82 per annum
The Role:As an LSA, you will work closely with teaching staff to support a student's academic progress, wellbeing, and engagement in school life. This role involves providing tailored 1:1 assistance, helping to adapt learning materials, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a student in the senior school
* Assist in the delivery and adaptation of lessons to meet individual needs
* Support the student's emotional, social, and academic development
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and parents where appropriate
* Help maintain a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable)
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
