Job Description: Contracts Associate EMEA

Reports to: Senior Contracts Manager EMEA
Overview
The Contracts Associate EMEA will play a key role in supporting the commercial contracts department, ensuring the effective drafting, execution, and management of contracts and related documentation. This position requires a proactive team player with a legal background and strong organizational skills, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and collaborates closely with stakeholders across Sales, Legal, Risk, and other business functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Drafting & Execution: Prepare and process Statements of Work (SOWs), Work Orders, and extensions in line with company policies. Take ownership of assigned accounts.
* Contract Production & Negotiation: Assist in drafting, editing, and negotiating contracts using standard templates for new agreements, extensions, and communications.
* Filing System & Database Management: Administer and maintain contract templates and ensure the contracts database is up to date.
* Compliance: Ensure all contract administration procedures comply with commercial contracts department standards.
* SLA Management: Oversee Service Level Agreements for quick-response items and allocate workload efficiently.
* Risk Mitigation: Support Contract Managers with contract issues and business-as-usual needs.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Risk & Assurance, Legal, Export Control, ESG, Commercial, and Billing Teams to address contractual issues and implement improvements.
* Contract Summaries: Prepare contract summaries, capturing key terms and conditions for stakeholders.
* Mailbox Management: Respond to information requests from sales and recruiters.
* Validation & Processing: Validate and process permanent and contract placements according to workflow, legislation, and best practice.
* Contract Logging: Ensure returned contracts are logged, countersigned, documented, and distributed to relevant parties.
* Knowledge Maintenance: Stay informed about key processes, business initiatives, and internal resources to maintain high standards in contract administration.

Knowledge & Qualifications
* Law degree or equivalent experience
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or contracts function within a consultancy or recruitment business
