Job Description:
To lead on prevention and intervention to help our residents sustain their tenancies. Our team is based within the Housing Tenancy Management Team, working with internal and external stakeholders to contribute to the Council's vision of keeping communities safe. The role focuses on intervening and resolving reports of ASB and Domestic Abuse, with referrals and signposting made promptly to support residents, especially vulnerable ones, ensuring tenants feel safe at home.
Responsibilities include:
* Addressing reports of ASB and Domestic Abuse
* Supporting victims of Domestic Abuse within HRA and General needs stock, conducting risk assessments, and referring to support agencies
* Attending meetings with stakeholders to find solutions to ASB cases
* Providing a resident-focused response to ASB complaints and breaches of tenancy/lease
* Creating action plans for case resolution
* Utilizing legislation and best practices for preventative and legal actions, including mediation
* Conducting interviews with complainants, witnesses, and perpetrators
* Preparing and serving legal notices, and representing the organization in court as needed
* Ensuring positive customer experience and effective communication with all parties
* Building respectful relationships with victims, families, and perpetrators
* Providing complex reports based on evidence and analysis
* Handling child and adult safeguarding matters promptly and effectively
* Managing high-risk casework involving vulnerable perpetrators
Key skills and requirements include:
* Full driving license and vehicle use at all times
* Experience managing tenancy-related breaches in the public sector
