We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and supporting the culinary team. Duties
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
* Assist chefs with food preparation tasks, ensuring ingredients are ready for cooking.
* Support cooking staff by performing basic cooking tasks as required.
* Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
* Help with the delivery and storage of supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling practices.
* Assist in maintaining a hygienic environment in compliance with food safety standards.
* Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential.
* Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods is advantageous.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining cleanliness and efficiency.
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn within a fast-paced setting are crucial.
