Part-Time SEND Classroom Assistant – Small Autism-Focused Class (Ellesmere Port)

We’re looking for caring, proactive individuals to join a warm and welcoming specialist autism primary school in Ellesmere Port as part-time SEND Classroom Assistants.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support a small group of children with autism and complex needs in a nurturing, low-ratio classroom setting.

Role Highlights:

1. Supporting pupils aged 4–11 in a small, structured SEND class

2. Assisting with learning activities, sensory play, and communication strategies

3. Providing personal care when needed, with sensitivity and respect

4. Working closely with the class teacher and wider support team

What We’re Looking For:

5. Previous classroom experience (SEND or mainstream with SEN exposure)

6. Confidence supporting children with ASC, non-verbal needs, and sensory profiles

7. A calm, flexible and compassionate approach

8. Comfortable with personal care routines
