The Role
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for managing and implementing all logistics activities for James Fisher Offshore/JF Decom, including supporting procurement with sourcing parts and services.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Manage and control all logistical requirements for James Fisher Offshore/JF Decom.
2. Ensure company compliance with customs and excise requirements.
3. Engage with Customs & Excise and represent the company during audits and interactions.
4. Develop and implement best practices for logistics processes and procedures.
5. Arrange and manage transport and logistics efficiently to support operations.
6. Ensure accurate documentation such as delivery notes, manifests, invoices, and dangerous goods paperwork.
7. Process material requisitions and purchase orders promptly and accurately.
8. Ensure timely delivery of parts, on budget and to quality standards.
9. Coordinate with relevant departments to pass supporting paperwork.
10. Negotiate prices with suppliers and obtain quotes for bids and tenders.
11. Organize project-specific equipment and oversee purchase order reviews in ERP system.
12. Manage demand scheduling, understanding customer needs and parts availability.
13. Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal customers.
14. Identify new suppliers to meet business needs.
15. Communicate logistical issues to management and internal teams.
16. Assist Accounts Department with invoice matching and PO queries.
17. Maintain accurate project files and spreadsheets.
18. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and health and safety standards.
19. Promote a professional and positive image at all times.
Skills & Experience
* Proficiency in logistics management, procurement, and understanding of business perspectives.
* Knowledge of the Customs Declaration Service (CDS) portal is advantageous.
* Understanding of various transport methods.
* Self-motivated team player with good interpersonal skills.
* Experience with Sage and strong IT skills in Word and Excel.
* Qualifications in Dangerous Goods handling are preferred but not essential.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and willingness to undertake relevant training are essential. Excellent communication and analytical thinking skills are required.
