Job Description

Our Client is a global retail design agency, operating from our bases in the UK, USA and Poland; combining end to end services from design, development to production and deployment. We design and produce exhibitions, shop‑in‑shops, integrated multi‑channel campaigns and point of sale for global brands.

Clients include Google, HP, Sony, Brooks Running and YETI.

Responsibilities

* Reporting directly to the Head of Deployment, you will manage multiple installation projects of medium to high complexity, typically ranging in duration from 1 day to 12 weeks.
* Provide leadership and direction to ensure successful delivery of projects across the UK and globally, accountable for cost, time and quality.
* Act as the primary point of contact for both internal stakeholders and external clients, ensuring clear communication, alignment and expectation management throughout the project lifecycle.
* Collaborate closely across departments, mentor colleagues and foster a culture of shared success and continuous improvement.
* Pass on knowledge and expertise to colleagues, supporting the upskilling of team members and contributing to the development of best practices within the Deployment function.
* Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively to deliver in line with customer expectations and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
* Show flexibility in adapting to fast‑paced changes, shifting priorities and challenging deadlines, acting as the escalation point during critical phases of project rollouts.
* Maintain a hands‑on approach, supporting campaign activations and overseeing warehouse operations such as picking, packing, logistics coordination and dispatch.
* Ensure adherence to standard processes while proactively identifying potential issues, mitigating risks and escalating when appropriate.
* Lead programme management activities including project reporting, financial tracking and risk management, with a solution‑oriented mindset and confident decision‑making ability.
* Continuously seek opportunities to improve deployment efficiency, enhance client experience and contribute to the strategic development of the Deployment function.
* Manage team reporting platform (uploading call files, allocating installers, creating questionnaires and managing quality control).
* Ensure deployment work on site is carried out correctly, assessing tasks, resource requirements and ordering fulfilment items.
* Handle commercial aspects such as creating suppliers’ POs, budget management, and preparing quotes.
* Analyse project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines and costs.
* Produce compliance reports (internal and external).

Out-of-Hours / Flexibility Requirement

* The role may require occasional travel (UK & internationally) to oversee on‑site installations, provide leadership presence and ensure successful project execution.
* Be flexible in working hours, including early starts or late finishes, to meet project needs and deadlines.
* This may occasionally involve working outside standard business hours.

Requirements

* Proven track record of delivering multiple small to large‑scale installation projects, ideally in a fast‑paced environment.
* Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide, coach and pass on knowledge to colleagues at all levels.
* Excellent organisational and time‑management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and prioritising effectively.
* Outstanding communication and stakeholder‑management skills to influence, build trust and maintain positive relationships with clients, suppliers and internal teams.
* Hands‑on operational experience, including warehouse coordination, logistics oversight and on‑site project support (picking, packing and dispatch).
* Problem‑solving mindset, anticipating issues, managing risks and making sound decisions under pressure.
* Analytical and reporting skills, with experience tracking project budgets, timelines, SLAs and performance metrics.
* Flexibility and adaptability, comfortable working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines.
* Commercial awareness, understanding how deployment activities impact cost, profitability and customer satisfaction.
* Proficiency with project‑management tools and software (e.g., Monday, Smartsheet, Jira, Zendesk or equivalent) and strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
* Willingness to travel within the UK to support and oversee project execution.

Resilience and Positive Attitude in Challenging Situations

* Degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering, Logistics or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
* Professional project‑management certification desirable, such as PRINCE2, Agile or equivalent.
* Background in the retail display / Point‑of‑Purchase (POP) industry; experience using Team Haven or similar field project‑management tools.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage data, reporting and project tracking.
* Understanding of production and manufacturing processes is advantageous.
* Health & Safety awareness or certification; full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
* 4+ years’ experience managing installation projects from initiation to completion, ideally within the retail display / POP industry.
* Proven track record of delivering multiple small, medium to large‑scale installation projects, ideally in a fast‑paced environment.
* Previous knowledge of booking into retailer chains, shopping centres and site access systems, including preparation of RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements), Statements of Work and Scopes of Work.
* Hands‑on experience with warehouse and logistics operations, including picking, packing, shipping and on‑site execution.
