Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, whether they reside in assisted living facilities or their own homes. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial part in delivering personalised care while fostering a safe and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
* Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
* Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
* Support clients with mobility and transfers, including some lifting when necessary.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
* Document care provided and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
* Foster positive relationships with clients and their families through effective communication and empathy.
Skills
* Experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or home care is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in patient care techniques, including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, physical disability care, and senior care.
* Knowledge of first aid principles and ability to respond effectively in emergencies.
* Strong caregiving skills with an understanding of behaviour management strategies.
* Competence in meal preparation tailored to dietary requirements.
