Milk Education are working on behalf of a welcoming primary school in North Tyneside who are looking for a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time role, supporting a pupil in Key Stage 2 with additional needs on a one-to-one basis. Responsibilities: Provide tailored 1:1 support to a child with additional learning and emotional needs Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons Support with the development of social skills, behaviour, and independence Help create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment Work closely with the SENCO, class teacher, and parents to ensure consistent progress Requirements: Previous experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. Autism, ADHD, SEMH) Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude Strong communication and teamwork skills Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the child’s individual needs A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What we offer: Competitive rates of pay (paid weekly) Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant Access to free CPD and training opportunities The chance to make a real impact in a supportive school setting If you’re a caring and committed individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs, we’d love to hear from you.
