Optometrist - Emersons Green and Devizes
Full-time 37.5 hrs per week

We have an exciting opportunity for an Optometrist at our Practice Plus Group Hospital, Emerson's Green and Devizes Hospital.
This role is a full-time position, working between our Emerson's Green and Devizes Hospitals, primarily Monday to Friday, with some requirement to work on Saturdays. There will also be an on-call rota.

What you'll be doing
Reporting to our Outpatients Manager, you will be part of a small, forward-looking department equipped with the latest ophthalmic equipment, including IOL Master 700 and Humphrey Visual Field Analyser. Specialist areas include cataract surgery pathways, age-related macular degeneration assessment and treatment, and ocular-plastic pathways.
This role is ideal for someone eager to develop their skills by working alongside experienced Ophthalmic Consultants to deliver an outstanding Cataract Service. We will provide training for our Optometrist to be an integral part of the cataract pathway, from initial consultation to surgery scheduling, as well as follow-up and routine appointments for our elective ophthalmic services.
What we look for in you
* You will be a GOC registered Optometrist with experience in pre- and post-assessment of patients referred for refractive surgery.
* Knowledge of ophthalmic surgical care and ophthalmic diseases.
* Ability to independently prescribe and deliver first appointments on a cataract pathway.
