WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Application Support Analyst in RBSL Information Management & Technology department plays a key role in ensuring the services provided by the Enterprise and Business Applications function are performing satisfactorily. RBSL manages a mix of in-house supported applications (which this role would support) and third-party supported applications (which this role would help manage).
Position Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide support to users and third parties by triaging and resolving incidents, supporting problem investigations, and fulfilling service requests.
* Monitor, maintain, and improve application services managed by RBSL, collaborating with users and business owners.
* Act as Service Owner for various application systems, ensuring SLAs are met and liaising with third-party suppliers for resolution.
* Maintain a customer-focused approach, assisting Business Owners and Users, and creating Knowledge Base articles.
* Develop supporting application user processes and procedures.
* Serve as the point of escalation for major incidents, service failures, or customer complaints, keeping stakeholders informed.
* Stay updated on terminology and service disciplines, understanding developments affecting service delivery.
* Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to maintain positive relationships and ensure contractual compliance.
* Attend meetings related to current and future application support, understanding roadmaps and compatibility issues.
* Support release and deployment activities, including upgrades, patches, and testing.
* Manage and maintain application licenses.
* Work with Data Security and Compliance teams to ensure data security measures are in place.
* Represent application services in Change Advisory Board meetings.
Qualifications
* At least 2 years of experience in application support or a similar role.
* Experience managing application services through third parties.
* Supporting SQL, Windows Server 2019, Microsoft Office (especially Access), and internal web applications (understanding HTTPS, IIS, TLS).
* Understanding business processes in the context of IT solutions.
* Experience with FlexLM is advantageous.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience with service management tools like ServiceNow.
* Knowledge of ITIL or other frameworks.
* Attention to detail and high-quality work commitment.
* Occasional travel to other sites.
* Must be willing to undergo BPSS security checks.
