About the Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that inspire pupils to achieve their best in a supportive and structured environment. Working alongside therapists, teaching assistants, and senior leaders, the SEN Teacher will play a key role in promoting communication, independence, and life skills.
The successful SEN Teacher will:
* Create and deliver individualised learning programmes tailored to each students EHCP
* Use a range of creative teaching methods to support pupils with ASD and complex needs
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic development
* Build strong relationships with parents and carers, fostering a community approach to progress
Required Skills and Experience
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS)
* Previous experience as an SEN Teacher within an SEN or ASD setting
* A strong understanding of autism and communication:focused teaching strategies
* Excellent behaviour management and de:escalation techniques
* Commitment to professional development as an SEN Teacher
* A compassionate, flexible, and resilient approach to teaching
