A well-established and highly regarded law firm is seeking an experienced Contentious Probate Solicitor to join its growing disputes team. The Opportunity
You will join a specialist litigation team handling a broad range of complex contentious probate matters. The firm has built a strong reputation in this space and offers high-quality work, genuine career progression, and a collaborative culture.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing cases autonomously while still benefiting from strong leadership and administrative support.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of contentious probate and related disputes, including:
* Inheritance Act (1975) claims (acting for both claimants and defendants)
* Probate disputes involving capacity, undue influence, and forgery
* Trust disputes and construction issues
* Fraud-related matters
* Acting for executors, including in neutral roles
* Proprietary estoppel and constructive trust claims
* Negotiation and drafting of settlement agreements
You will handle matters from initial instruction through to resolution, with the opportunity to build strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
* Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a current practising certificate
* Minimum 3 years’ PQE in contentious probate or civil litigation
* Strong technical ability and attention to detail
* Proven ability to manage a busy caseload independently
* Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to client development
