Take charge of your time and cut out wasted commuting. You’ll drive straight from home to customer sites, with paid travel that increases your earnings.
Your technical knowledge will grow fast, thanks to expert training at head office and guidance from managers who have worked on the tools themselves. That means support that’s practical, not corporate.
On top of this, you’ll enjoy a secure workload with a full order book and record revenues in 2024. Overtime, on-call bonuses and other add-ons push most engineers’ income beyond £60k — with plenty of opportunity to earn more.
What you’ll be doing
* Refurbishing and modernising overhead cranes, hoists and lifting equipment
* Installing, inspecting, testing and commissioning cranes across different sites
* Carrying out planned maintenance and follow-up service work to keep equipment running safely
* Attending breakdowns, diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults, including PLC issues
* Recording work with the latest reporting technology
What you'll need
* Specialist experience with overhead travelling cranes, ideally with knowledge of cranes from major global manufacturers
* Apprentice trained, with NVQ level 3 or above, ideally as a competent industrial electrician
