Legal Counsel – Manager Level
Base Location: London, Reading or other KPMG UK office location (20 offices nationally)
The KPMG OGC Commercial team is fundamental to facilitating our UK business. It sits within KPMG Business Services (KBS), we do work that matters.

We are looking for a lawyer with at least 2 years PQE to join the busy OGC Commercial team at manager level. OGC Commercial is responsible for reviewing and negotiating documents of various forms between KPMG and its clients or third parties.
The team’s work is frequently conducted against a background of time pressure and with clients whose legal and procurement teams focus on securing advantageous positions. As a result, good drafting and negotiating skills are a key requirement, together with an aptitude to apply pragmatism and good task management. Interaction with other key stakeholders is important, such as data protection, information security, pursuits and Risk.
What will you be doing?
1. Working on a broad range of matters, including being involved in the processes for approving KPMG’s new services and products
2. Assisting with general commercial queries
3. Drafting software licences
4. Supporting our deals teams and providing contract support for KPMG’s engagement teams
5. Negotiating and drafting framework and master services agreements, working alongside client lead partners and specialists
What will you need to do it?
6. A qualified lawyer with at least 2 years PQE
7. Good drafting and negotiating skills
8. Common sense, pragmatism, and good time management skills
9. Knowledge of working in a professional services environment is an advantage
10. Ability to manage workload while ensuring compliance with KPMG’s training and administrative requirements
