Bank Ward Administrator | Methley Park | Flexible working hours |
Spire Elland Hospital is currently looking for an experienced Administrator to join their ward team on a bank/occasional basis.
Contract type: Bank/Zero hours
As Ward Administrator, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the ward for patients, visitors and staff.
Duties and responsibilities (not limited):
1. To greet and provide a customer focused, professional and effective service that exceeds expectations to all Patients, Consultants, and Visitors to the hospital.
2. To deal with all telephone enquiries in an efficient and courteous manner.
3. To inform insurance companies if extended length of stay is required.
4. To keep insurance companies informed of emergency admissions.
5. To be aware of discharge dates and times and ensure that the relevant departments,. Reception and Catering are informed when patient is leaving.
6. Appointments given on discharge for treatment room and follow up.
7. To liaise with Ward Staff regarding ordering.
8. Ensure that patient notes are up to date and in correct order and are taken to the appropriate place when a patient episode is complete. Ensure that all filing of results and other information is accurately filed in the patient’s notes.

9. Previous relevant experience in an administrative support role

11. Computer literate
12. Adept at handling various calls on a daily basis
13. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

16. Have a systematic and organised approach to work
17. Maintain complete confidentiality, discretion and loyalty at all times
