About the Role: Support the Building Control Manager to deliver service objectives and priorities. Manage a varied caseload, focusing on complex or high-profile applications. Oversee day‑to‑day operations and drive performance across the professional team. Mentor, guide, and support colleagues, sharing your technical expertise. Lead on enforcement and investigations. Respond to dangerous structures and safeguard public safety. Build strong, proactive relationships with developers, agents, architects, and communities. Contribute to strategic decisions, shaping policy and service development. About you: An experienced Building Control professional with at least 5 years’ experience Registered at Class 2F with the Building Safety Regulator A chartered member of a recognised professional body (e.g. CABE, CIOB ) Technically strong with excellent knowledge of relevant legislation Proactive, flexible, and skilled in managing and motivating people Committed to delivering high standards and making a positive community impact To find out more about the essential and desirable criteria for the role please view the attached job description specification document.
