A welcoming and inclusive school in Wakefield is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils who need additional support.
About the Role:
As an SEN TA, you will work closely with class teachers and support staff to assist students with a range of needs, including autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties (MLD). You’ll provide 1:1 support where needed, promote positive behaviour, and help pupils to access learning in a way that works best for them.

Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting pupils in class, in small groups or on a 1:1 basis
* Assisting with differentiated learning activities tailored to individual needs
* Encouraging engagement, independence, and confidence in learners
* Helping manage behaviour and emotional regulation using positive strategies
We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEND (in schools, care, or youth settings)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A patient, adaptable, and caring approach
* Confidence supporting children with a variety of learning or behavioural needs
* A genuine interest in education and supporting inclusive practice
