Overview
Night Support Worker - Children’s Homes at Witherslack Group. Salary: £30,849 - £33,896 (assuming good attendance). Hours: Waking nights (4 on / 4 off).
Responsibilities
* Take care of the home and our young people through the night. Support a young person who wakes up in the middle of the night dealing with trauma, feeling ill, upset or unable to sleep. Build a rapport and be someone our young people can trust in their time of need.
* Provide appropriate night-time care and support to help the child/young person move through their night with sensitivity and care.
* In quieter times, complete tasks around the home such as paperwork, cleaning and laundry.
* Tap into each young person’s needs, personality and potential and guide them toward a positive future.

Requirements / Qualifications
* A ‘can do’ attitude; team player who rolls up their sleeves to help others
* Honesty and empathy; genuine care for our young people (and each other)
* Resilience to deal with challenging situations
* A full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months
* If you don’t have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), we’ll pay for you to study and support you through the process
You’ll start life as a Night Support Officer by joining our Care Academy – 4 weeks of off-the-job training with experienced WG professionals to help you feel confident and ready to support our young people.
