Description
Bedborough House is seeking to recruit a Bank Healthcare Assistant to join our team. Located in Radstock, Somerset, we provide residential support for seven autistic males and females, as well as individuals with learning disabilities. Our home is situated in a residential area with beautiful views of Somerset.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team committed to our residents' wellbeing. We adopt a personalized approach, utilizing proven therapies to help residents progress confidently and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Bank Healthcare Assistant, you will play a key role in their recovery by assisting qualified staff with assessing and implementing individual care plans, and undertaking routine tasks to promote wellbeing, dignity, and treatment of residents.
* Maintain safety, security, and confidentiality by adhering to policies and procedures through professional behavior.
* Support individual service users by supporting goal planning, personal outcomes, and ensuring these are well documented and reviewed.
* Demonstrate flexibility and innovation in your work, supporting service users in decision-making, and promoting choice and involvement.
* Present the service positively and proactively suggest improvements.

What you'll bring to the role
Resilience is essential as our work can be rewarding yet challenging. Your natural empathy will assist you in supporting others through various highs and lows. You should hold or be working towards NVQ2 in Health & Social Care or a related or higher qualification, or equivalent. GCSEs or NVQ2 in English and Maths are also required. Experience in a related environment is desirable. New recruits will start the attainment process within six months if they do not already possess the qualification.
