About the role
In this role, you’ll be a crucial player in supporting our Food Services Team Leader and Cooks to deliver exceptional catering functions within the hospital. Your responsibilities include delivering meals to patients, preparing meal charts, and ensuring the hygienic disposal of food scraps – all contributing to the overall well-being of patients and the smooth operation of our kitchen.

This is a permanent position for 32 hours per fortnight and is located at Royston Hospital in Hawkes Bay.

What You Will Do
1. Support the Food Services Team Leader and Cooks to ensure top-notch catering functions.
2. Maintain cleanliness in work areas, from sinks and benchtops to patient trays.
3. Prepare meal charts covering your shifts for streamlined meal services.
4. Dispose of food scraps with precision, maintaining hygienic cleanliness in all containers.
5. Own your list of duties and responsibilities with pride.
6. Be courteous and helpful to patients, visitors, and fellow staff members.
7. Stay updated on safety procedures and champion safe food handling and storage.
