Assistant Human Resources Manager (Band 7)
Location: Summerfield House, Aberdeen (hybrid working available)
Hours: 28.6 hours per week (typically over 4 days)
Contract: 12-month Fixed Term

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join our Operational HR Team as an Assistant HR Manager.

This is a key role supporting a wide range of services across NHS Grampian, where you will work in close partnership with managers to deliver high-quality, professional HR advice and help shape a positive, supportive working environment for our people.

As an Assistant HR Manager, you will:

* Provide expert HR advice across the full employee lifecycle, including complex employee relations matters.
* Support managers with disciplinary, grievance and organisational change processes.
* Contribute to workforce planning, service redesign and delivery of HR projects.
* Coach and develop managers to build confident and capable people management practice.
* Work collaboratively with staff side representatives to support partnership working
* Deliver training and contribute to organisational learning and development activity

You will play an important role in helping services navigate change, resolve complex issues and improve outcomes for staff and patients.

We are looking for a proactive, credible HR professional who:

* Is educated to degree level (or equivalent experience)
* Holds Chartered CIPD membership (or Associate working towards Chartered)
* Has recent experience managing complex employee relations cases within a large organisation
* Demonstrates sound knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
* Is confident working with senior stakeholders and across multidisciplinary teams
* Has excellent interpersonal, influencing and problem-solving skills
* Is comfortable working in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment

Experience within the NHS or public sector is desirable but not essential.
