Job Summary
This is a vital role to the growth of the business. The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, distribution, and demand planning. This role ensures that goods and services are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time while maintaining quality standards and supporting business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Strategy
* Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies aligned with company goals
* Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels
* Monitor market trends, risks, and opportunities within the supply chain
Procurement & Vendor Management
* Manage supplier relationships, contracts, and performance
* Negotiate pricing, terms, and service level agreements (SLAs)
* Source and onboard new suppliers where necessary
Inventory & Demand Planning
* Oversee inventory levels to balance availability with cost efficiency
* Implement demand forecasting and planning processes
* Minimise stockouts, overstock, and wastage
Operational Performance
* Track and report supply chain KPIs (e.g., lead times, cost, service levels)
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives
* Ensure compliance with regulations, safety standards, and company policies
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Work closely with sales, finance, production, and customer service teams
* Align supply chain activities with business needs and customer demand
* Support new product launches and business expansion plans

* Solid understanding of logistics, procurement, and inventory management

Qualifications & Experience
* CIPS Level 5 Certification
* 5+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or procurement roles
* Proven experience in a managerial or leadership position
* Experience in solvent, chemicals is desirable but not essential
