External Account Manager – Northern Ireland
Location: Belfast (Hybrid – 3 days customer-facing, 1 day office, 1 day from home)

We’re partnering with a global chemical distributor to find a motivated and results-driven External Account Manager to manage and grow their Northern Ireland portfolio.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of an established base of high-value industrial and manufacturing clients, reconnect with dormant accounts, and drive new business growth across the region.
What you’ll be doing:
As the new External Account Manager, you’ll be building on existing relationships while creating new ones. You’ll thrive in the sales environment! Your duties will include.
* Manage and develop a defined portfolio of existing accounts, achieving sales and EBITDA targets.
* Reconnect with lapsed customers and open new trading accounts.
* Build strong relationships with decision-makers across manufacturing and industrial sectors.
* Negotiate contracts, close profitable deals, and deliver tailored solutions.
* Monitor competitor activity and identify new opportunities for growth.
* Collaborate with internal commercial and supply chain teams to ensure exceptional customer service.
What we’re looking for:
* Proven B2B sales experience within manufacturing or industrial markets.
* Ideally, knowledge of industrial chemicals
* A genuine passion for sales; energetic, proactive, and results-oriented.
* Confident managing your own territory, from the factory floor to the boardroom.
* Strong communicator and relationship builder with a hunter mindset.
* Organised, commercially aware, and driven to exceed targets
