Post Doctoral Research Assistant (PDRA) – Faculty of Engineering & Science, University of Greenwich. Location: Medway Campus. Salary: £32,080 to £37,694 per annum. Contract: Fixed term, until 31 August 2028. Closing date: 20 May 2026.
Project Overview
This translational research project aims to develop a novel dual‑loaded liposomal hydrogel system for targeted delivery to hair follicles, to address chemotherapy‑induced alopecia (CIA). The research will involve design and formulation of advanced drug delivery systems, physicochemical characterization, and evaluation through ex vivo skin deposition and biocompatibility studies, supporting translation toward clinical application.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and formulation of nanoparticle‑based drug delivery systems.
* Conduct physicochemical characterization of the dual‑loaded liposomal hydrogel.
* Perform ex vivo skin deposition studies and biocompatibility assays.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and industry partners.
* Contribute to dissemination of results and support grant applications.
Qualifications
* PhD in a relevant scientific field.
* Experience in nanoparticle formulation, drug delivery and analytical methods.
* Familiarity with ex vivo skin deposition and biocompatibility testing.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Excellent communication and collaborative abilities.
