Role Overview
The Head of Family Law will oversee the departments casework, supervise and develop junior team members, manage operational performance, and contribute to strategic direction and growth. This is an ideal role for a senior solicitor with exceptional technical ability, client-care skills, and proven leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the Family Law department across multiple offices.
2. Handle a varied and complex caseload, including divorce, finance, children matters, cohabitation issues, and domestic abuse cases.
3. Supervise, train, and mentor solicitors, paralegals, and trainees.
4. Ensure quality assurance, compliance, and risk management within the department.
5. Contribute to strategic planning, growth initiatives, and departmental development.
6. Support team performance, fee generation, and operational improvements.
