About The Role
Worldwide Flight Services is seeking a Landside Transport Manager to support the current transport operation with the operational management and compliance of a major Road Feeder Service (RFS) network. You will be working under the guidance of the Landside Transport Manager, and will be managing a team of 5/6 staff members, and circa 40 trucks. You will act as the first point of contact for customers, main hauliers, having a strong focus on planning, customer satisfaction, communication and overall responsibility for Transport operations.
Your main responsibilities on a day to day basis will be (but not limited to):
1. Responsible for ensuring a coherent interface between every area of the operation to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
2. Motivate and develop planners to equip them with the skills to manage their teams of drivers
3. Ensure compliance with all Transport legislations and Health & Safety requirements
4. Be responsible for communication throughout the transport operation
5. Propose and implement changes to the operation to improve efficiency and/or levels of performance
6. Ensure a secure and safe environment for team members and assets
7. Achieve efficiency through managing planning & controlling staff daily, and an ongoing basis through objectives
8. Manage a team of c.60 drivers, along with planning teams
9. Ensuring key performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved, including compliance, service, and financial targets
10. Ensuring compliance with statutory and Company safety standards
About You
To be successfully considered for this role you will need:
11. Experience in managing the invoicing process in a high volume and complex
environment
12. Ability to use IT systems to process, track and report activities
13. Good numeracy skills to handle payroll calculations
14. Strong written and verbal communication skills
15. Ability to prioritise and multitask in a complex operational environment
16. Excellent attention to detail
17. Focus on providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
18. Excellent time management and organisational skills
19. Comfortable in using the Office package, including Excel
