THE C4 APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME
If you are looking for an opportunity to gain work experience and a qualification, then an apprenticeship at Channel 4 might be for you. 
Our Apprenticeships are full-time, with four days per week spent working in a C4 department and one day per week completing the formal learning parts of the apprenticeship. You’ll spend 60% of your working week in your office base and 40% working from home.
The formal training provided will consist of workshops, tutorials, webinars, coaching and in some cases residential boot camps. You can read more about the qualification being offered for this apprenticeship below.

AM I ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?
 1. You must be 18 years old or over at the time the scheme starts to apply. There is no upper age limit.
 2. You’ll need to have a Grade C (4) or above in Maths & English GCSE
 3. You can’t have already completed the qualification being offered or similar at the same or higher level

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The Media team sit within Channel 4’s marketing division. It is their responsibility to manage the owned media promotional strategy and allocation of owned inventory across the 4Network. Essentially, it is their job to ensure that all the viewers coming to our streaming platform are served the promotional marketing campaigns most relevant to them, and most likely to make them stick around and watch more – whether that be an exciting new drama coming soon, or a classic from our large archive bank like The Inbetweeners. It is for them to collaborate with data and insights, editorial, marketing, 4Creative and more to make the most efficient campaign planning decisions. 
KEY RESPONSIBILITES 
 5. Setting up promotional campaigns for streaming within our campaign systems and ad-server, in accordance with Promotional Priorities determined by Marketing and Media Planning 
 6. Checking trail legal certification and suitability
 7. React to changes in the schedule and update trails accordingly
 8. Liaise with 4Creative Production and Marketing
 9. General team assistant duties
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

We’ve provided some examples beside the first four criteria of experience that could demonstrate you have these skills. Please note you do not need to use these examples, they are just here for guidance and you should draw from your own personal experiences. 
 10. Verbal and written communication skills - Verbal - e.g. experience of dealing with customers or working as part of a team. Communication – e.g. writing emails, completing an application form or essay, or if you have a hobby that involves creative writing. 
 11. Attention to detail - e.g. Cashing up on tills or proofreading coursework.
 12. Organisation skills and ability to prioritise tasks - e.g. Planning events whether personal or for professional purposes, as well as managing work life balance, for example working whilst doing coursework/exams. 
 13. An understanding of and a passion for Channel 4's
 14. Confirm you have Maths & English GCSE Grade C (4) or above
 15. Good knowledge of Channel 4’s channel portfolio, services and understanding of it’s remit. 
 16. Enthusiastic and willing to learn new skills
 17. A desire to take responsibility and work on own initiative
 18. Keen attention to detail
 19. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel
