Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality PE lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and KS5 if applicable), promoting active participation and skill development. Teach a range of sports and physical activities, adapting lessons to suit different abilities and needs. Organise and oversee extra-curricular sports clubs, inter-school competitions, and school sporting events. Promote health, fitness, teamwork, and leadership through structured lessons and pastoral support. Maintain a safe and inclusive sporting environment in line with health and safety guidelines. Monitor student progress, behaviour, and development, providing regular feedback and reports. Work collaboratively with colleagues and sports staff to enhance the physical education programme. Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and contribute positively to the wider school ethos. Ideal Candidate Requirements: Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field. Experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting, with strong knowledge of national curriculum standards. A genuine enthusiasm for physical education and youth development. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Flexibility to adapt to different educational settings and student needs. Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one). What does GSL Education Offer?
