Role Overview
Proofpoint is seeking a Regional Account Manager to join our team and help expand our market presence in Public Sector across the UK & I. This position will report to the Public Sector Manager for UK & I and will focus on hunting new logo accounts, managing the sales cycle, and delivering revenue growth. You’ll work closely with Sales Engineers and channel partners to develop account strategies and execute complex sales plans.
Your Day To Day
* Develop and execute outbound prospecting campaigns to drive new logo acquisition in the Public Sector vertical account set up to 2,500 users.
* Develop relationships and grow revenue from existing accounts.
* Collaborate with Sales Engineers and channel partners to develop and execute account strategies.
* Analyze and report on pipeline development, forecasting accuracy, and sales performance.
* Manage the full sales cycle, including planning, coordinating, and delivering product demos.
* Maintain compliance with Proofpoint’s sales processes and leverage corporate resources effectively.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in building pipeline, forecasting, and closing sales.
* Strong communication and presentation skills in effectively articulating business value.
* Experience selling to CISO, IT management and IT departments.
* Existing channel relationships and understanding of a two‑tier channel model.
* Strong skills in organization, attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
* Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
