My clients are a very well-established manufacturing company based in Tameside. They supply products to over 100 countries worldwide with Head Offices in the UK, Ireland, Canada and Australia. We are now looking for them a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias).
Main Purpose of the Role
* To maintain all electrical and mechanical equipment on site including services, distribution, plant machinery and miscellaneous equipment in accordance with relevant current legislation and ensure that documentation and records are kept accordingly.
* To carry out electrical installation work when required for new plant, machinery, equipment, and services ensuring compliance with the relevant current legislation.
* To meet requirements of all departments at Ashton Road in their daily operations by carrying out various electrical and mechanical works.
* To be proactively involved in monitoring the condition of services and machinery reporting defects to the Facilities Manager immediately.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
* To carry out both reactive and planned maintenance throughout the site.
* Fault find, diagnose and repair (where possible), faults that occur in the building services, plant, machinery, and other equipment.
* Assist with the training of apprentices and any other training needs of maintenance team.
* Ensure that all work is carried out to current safety standards, to an agreed standard and meets with current legislation.
Essential Criteria
* NVQ Level 3 or above in electrical/multiskilled discipline.
* Apprentice Trained (or equivalent).
* Good Mechanical knowledge/experience
* PLC, HMI experience
Desirable Criteria
* Previous experience of working in a factory environment.
* BS 7671 18th Edition.
* IPAF.
Salary: DOE
Hours: 36 hours per week 06:00-13:30/13:30-06:00 Monday to Thursday and 06:00-12:00/12:00-18:00 Friday. Probationary period hours will be days based 08:00-17:00 for training purposes.
