EY358 Pipe Fitter
Salary: £19 – £23 per hour DOE
Location: Manchester
Hours: 44 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 07:00–16:30, Friday 07:00–15:30
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Pipe Fitter on behalf of one of our clients. They are a respected and well-established coachbuilding company who are looking for an experienced Pipe Fitter to join their growing team in Manchester. Duties and Responsibilities
1. Measure and mark pipes for cutting, threading, and welding
2. Thread and bend pipes manually or using a pipe bending machine
3. Install, repair, and maintain systems using various welding and plumbing techniques
4. Attach and secure pipes to structures, ensuring proper alignment
5. Seal pipework routes and prevent water ingress
6. Conduct testing on your work and others’ to check for leaks or weak joints
7. Weld, solder, braze, and fuse pipework
8. Interpret technical drawings and layout specifications
9. Plan and install piping systems for industrial units and specialist vehicles
Qualifications and Experience
10. Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Pipe Fitter
11. Strong understanding of the manufacturing process
12. Commitment to safety and wellbeing in the workplace
13. Able to travel reliably to site (own transport preferred)
