At Yorkshire Housing, we’re all about creating communities where people feel right at home. As our Scheme Manager, you’ll be the friendly face and go-to person for our residents, making sure our schemes are safe, welcoming, and bursting with life.

We’re super excited to be on the lookout for 2x Scheme Managers to cover our West Yorkshire schemes, we have a permanent opportunity and a 12month fixed term contract available. You’ll have the option to tell us which (or both!) you’re interested in on your application.


What will you be doing?

* Making our schemes places customers are proud to call home – think warm welcomes, vibrant spaces, and a real sense of community.
* Managing lettings, sign-ups, and supporting new residents as they settle in.
* Keeping a close eye on rent, service charges, and making sure everyone’s up to speed with their accounts.
* Nipping tenancy issues in the bud and making sure everyone gets along.
* Taking charge of health and safety – from fire safety checks to risk assessments, you’ll keep everyone safe and sound.
* Championing social, health, and wellbeing activities – if you love organising events and bringing people together, this is your time to shine!
* Working with local partners, health professionals, and support agencies to make sure our customers get the help they need.
* Being a tech champion – helping customers use assistive and new technologies.
* Responding to emergencies and being part of our out-of-hours support rota (don’t worry, you won’t be alone!).


What do you need to bring?

* A “customer obsessed” attitude – you love helping people and always have a smile ready.
* Top-notch communication and people skills – you’re approachable, empathetic, and can handle tricky situations with a cool head.
* Organised, proactive, and able to juggle a busy workload (with a bit of Yorkshire grit!).
* Confident using Microsoft Office and keen to make the most of new tech.
* Experience supporting older or vulnerable customers, and a good understanding of housing management.
* You’ll need a full UK driving licence and access to a car.
* A passion for learning, growing, and making things better for everyone.


Bonus points if you have:

* Experience in housing or social care.
* Knowledge of health and safety in communal living.
* Leadership or management qualifications.
* Previous experience as a Scheme Manager.

Both roles are full time (35 hours per week) opportunity with a salary of £33,364.47 plus £2,000 car allowance per annum, plus 26 days annual leave (rising annually to 31 days) plus Bank Holidays.

The fine print

FYI we’re planning on hosting assessments on 04.12 & 05.12 at our workplace in Leeds, so make sure your diary is free before applying! This role will require an enhanced DBS check for the successful candidates.
