Rakem Group is seeking a passionate and proactive Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor to champion our commitment to excellence across health, safety, and environmental standards.
This is more than a compliance role
its a strategic position that drives our HSE and ESG Framework forward, shaping the future of our operations and culture.
What Youll Do:
Lead HSE compliance across all sites, aligning with ISO 45001, 14001, and 9001 standards.
Develop and maintain risk assessments, COSHH documentation, and safe systems of work.
Investigate incidents and near misses, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Deliver engaging toolbox talks, inductions, and targeted training to build a proactive safety culture.
Chair the Health & Safety Committee and mentor safety representatives.
Collaborate with the Sustainability Lead to track and improve environmental performance.
Manage contractor safety, PPE/RPE programs, and emergency preparedness systems.
Report monthly HSE performance metrics and contribute to strategic decision-making.
What Were Looking For:
NEBOSH General Certificate
(Diploma or Environmental Diploma desirable).
Proven experience in a
manufacturing or chemical environment .
Strong knowledge of
UK HSE legislation
and
ISO management systems .
Excellent communication, coaching, and influencing skills.
A strategic thinker with emotional intelligence and a collaborative mindset.
Highly organised, analytical, and confident in managing multiple priorities.
