Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Electrical Bias
My client are looking for multi skilled maintenance engineers with an electrical bias to join their engineering team. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth running, reliability, and efficiency of production equipment and site services. You will play a key role in reducing downtime, improving performance and driving continuous improvement across the plant. As a market leader, our client based in Cumbernauld, are among one of over 30 plants around the world and in 100 countries globally manufacturing creative products.
Role: Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on a wide range of production machinery and plant equipment.
Ensure machines and equipment are maintained to agreed schedules to minimise breakdowns and maximise efficiency.
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults quickly and effectively.
Work collaboratively with other engineers, production staff, and managers to prioritise maintenance tasks.
Adhere to site safety, health, and environmental procedures, ensuring compliance with risk assessments and safe systems of work.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including equipment upgrades and reliability projects.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure engineering activities align with site standards.
Support personal development by keeping skills and knowledge up to date.
Skills/Experience: Time-served or qualified engineer with an electrical bias (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent in Electrical/Engineering).
Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and continuous improvement methods.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong awareness of health and safety requirements.
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, day/night Basic 38 hours
Pay: £43,381.60 pa (£21.95/hr) There is overtime and they pay time and half and double time
Pension: Pension is matched up to 6%
