DevOps Engineer
Salary: £56,100-£60,000 dependant on experience

As aDevOps (ML) Engineer, you’ll play a key role in bringing this purpose to life. You’ll join our growing Market Unit Data Science team, working on innovative AI and machine learning solutions that make a real difference to our customers and our business. With access to our enterprise cloud infrastructure and a collaborative, cross-functional environment, you’ll help us build scalable, ethical, and impactful data products that support our 2027 strategy.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll help bridge the gap between data science and production engineering. You’ll:
1. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for machine learning model development, testing, and deployment.
2. Develop reusable tools and frameworks for data processing, model training, validation, and monitoring.
3. Work closely with data scientists to operationalise models, ensuring they’re scalable, reliable, and reproducible.
4. Implement observability and monitoring systems to track model performance, drift, and data integrity.
5. Ensure governance and compliance through model versioning, reproducibility, and auditability.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about using technology to make a difference – and who brings the following:
6. Strong Python coding skills.
7. Proficiency with Azure and orchestration tools like Azure DevOps (ADO).
8. Experience with MLOps frameworks such as MLflow, Kubeflow, Metaflow, or SageMaker.
9. Experience deploying real-time inference services and batch prediction pipelines.
10. Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
