We're looking for a superstar Manager to help grow Birddog Catwalk into the go-to local name for premium, eco-friendly pet care. This Manager role isn't just a "walk in the park" (though there will be plenty of those) - we need someone who can combine hands-on pet care with business management and team leadership.
* What you'll be doing as our Manager:
* Walking and caring for dogs (big and small) and cats in clients' homes.
* Handling bookings, enquiries, invoices, and customer payments.
* Managing and training staff as the business grows.
* Creating policies, procedures, and keeping everything running smoothly.
* Posting regularly on social media to showcase our work.
* Pitching in wherever needed - from emergency drop-ins to shaping the future of the business.
What we're looking for in a Manager:
* Confident and safe handling animals of all sizes.
* Full, clean UK driving licence.
* Happy to undergo a DBS check.
* Experience with dogs, cats, and preferably other small pets too.
* Strong customer service skills (people are as important as pets).
* Flexible and reliable - shift work, weekends, and the odd last-minute call.
* Organised, proactive, admin skills and comfortable using tech for scheduling and social media.
* Willing to learn and grow alongside the business.
* A love of all things furry, feathered, and four-legged.
* Shared values around kindness, patience, care, and sustainability (you don't need to be an eco-warrior, but an appreciation for our ethos goes a long way).
The Manager role details:
* Initial contract: zero-hours (with potential to grow into a permanent role).
* Location: Malmesbury and surrounding areas.
