Overview

Probation Service Officer - IIRMS PSO. Join the Options for Change Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) Pathway team as a PSO in the Intensive Intervention and Risk Management Service (IIRMS). IIRMS operates across the East Midlands, offering psychosocial and psychoeducational interventions to a small caseload of complex, high risk and hard-to-reach individuals at risk of disengagement and further offending. This role works with probation and health colleagues to improve outcomes for people with complex needs in a multi-disciplinary team.

The PSO role requires flexibility and collaboration, with willingness to travel across the Probation Delivery Unit. Duties may include engagement and induction work (including prison visits), co-delivery of groupwork, and providing practical, psychological and social inclusion support (e.g., skills practice, interventions and accompanying individuals to external appointments such as GP registrations, benefits assessments, employment support, hobbies and sports). You will be part of a team with a diverse skillset (probation officers, forensic/clinical psychologists, occupational therapists and support workers) and play an important interface between health and probation. You will support probation colleagues to maintain engagement with the IIRMS service, including delivering briefings and training and contributing to the Hub, an innovative social inclusion space for IIRMS cases.

As an integral part of the MDT, you will contribute probation knowledge and expertise to the service. The role requires motivation and a relational, compassionate, and professional approach with a strong ethos for team collaboration. You will be a member of the wider East Midlands OPD Pathway network. The organisation is committed to learning and development, with appropriate training, regular support and supervision provided. If this sounds like you, apply now.
