An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Catering Team at County Hospital Stafford. You will be delivering Fresh Food to patients and visitors, working with an experienced team.
The rota is as follows: primary duties include cleaning of equipment in the main kitchen and the presentation and service of meals to patients, supporting the restaurant meal services. The individual will need to be adaptable, hardworking and self-motivated to meet the team and operational goals.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Catering Service Assistant to join our team at Stafford County Hospital. This part-time position involves working in a busy hospital environment, ensuring that high standards of food service are maintained across various wards and departments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas, including washing up and sanitising surfaces.
* Preparing and serving meals to patients, staff, and visitors in accordance with dietary requirements and health & safety standards.
* Assisting with the preparation and organisation of food items, ensuring compliance with NHS guidelines.
* Taking and recording meal orders from patients, considering any specific dietary needs.
* Delivering food to wards in a timely manner, ensuring it is served at the correct temperature.
* Managing and replenishing stock levels, ensuring that all food items are stored correctly.
* Liaising with healthcare staff to ensure that patients\' dietary requirements are met.
