Supply Chain Manager
Polytec is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead Purchasing, Planning, and Supplier Quality Engineering teams within a complex electro-mechanical manufacturing operation based in Ely.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement supply chain strategies to streamline processes, enhance productivity, optimize flow, and minimize inventory costs across Purchasing, Planning, and Supplier Quality Engineering teams.
2. Negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance, and develop the vendor base to support the introduction of new products, applications, and technologies.
3. Assess and mitigate supply chain risks, focusing on key product lines, OEM customers, and new product releases.
4. Motivate team members, conduct regular appraisals or 1-to-1 meetings, and communicate goals effectively.
5. Ensure resource allocation aligns with team objectives.
Requirements:
* Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
* MCIPS or other recognized supply chain management qualification.
* Previous experience in supply chain management, preferably in electronics or similar scientific manufacturing industries.
* Experience in supplier quality development.
* Strong negotiation skills.
* Knowledge of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA).
* Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) is advantageous.
* Understanding of Lean principles and their practical application within the supply chain.
* Excellent organization and project management skills.
* Proficiency in ERP supply chain software (e.g., Microsoft D365) and MS Office.
