Location: WiganContract: Temporary - Sickness CoverStart Date: ASAPSalary: Competitive, in line with experience and Hays pay ratesHays Education is working in partnership with a secondary school to recruit an experienced Health & Social Care Teacher to cover sickness on a temporary basis, starting as soon as possible.This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable and committed teacher who can confidently deliver Health & Social Care to KS3/4 and/or KS5 and who has strong experience with assessment, moderation, and Internal Verification (IV) processes.The Role:
* Deliver engaging and well-structured Health & Social Care lessons
* Assess student work in line with awarding body requirements
* Contribute to or lead moderation and Internal Verification processes
* Maintain high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour
* Work collaboratively with department staff to ensure continuity during sickness absence
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant teaching qualification
* Proven experience teaching Health & Social Care
* Strong knowledge of moderation and IV requirements
* The ability to adapt quickly and provide high-quality cover
* A professional, reliable, and supportive approach
