Job Description
We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager (Supply Chain Management - SCM) to act as an embedded strategic resource and liaison for all material-related matters between our programme and procurement teams.
Typical Responsibilities Include
1. Acting as a strategic liaison between programme and procurement teams, managing material-related matters for our business streams.
2. Building and maintaining relationships with key suppliers, ensuring their performance meets quality, delivery, and cost expectations.
3. Collaborating with programme managers to ensure timely delivery of materials for production and customer programmes, attending management reviews as needed.
4. Developing and implementing cost-saving strategies, including negotiating supplier pricing, forecasting demand, and creating product cost road maps.
5. Participating in programme risk management and opportunity identification, facilitating alignment across programmes.
6. Ensuring adherence to ISO/AS9100 purchasing requirements, relevant legislation, and corporate policies.
7. Supporting collaborative efforts between suppliers and internal teams for technology, design, and development initiatives.
8. Proactive management of supply chain values across programmes, products, and contract life cycles.

* Proven experience in tactical and strategic supply chain management within high-tech, defence, aerospace, or manufacturing environments.
* Strong negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to drive cost savings and margin improvement.
* Excellent financial acumen and experience in project planning and fiscal management.
* Outstanding communication skills, from operational level to boardroom.
* University degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Accounting (or equivalent).
* Experience in implementing best practices and managing change in supply chain processes.
* Ability to develop effective metrics and manage programmes in line with cost, schedule, and quality commitments.
* CIPS, APM, or equivalent qualification preferred.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ERP/MRP systems.
* Customer-focused with a commitment to continuous improvement and lean processes.

Additional Information
Salary ranges from £50,560 to £63,200 depending on experience, plus our excellent flexible benefits package.
We offer hybrid working, ideally averaging 2 days per week on site.
