This role is part of the release engineering function, responsible for managing the lifecycle of vehicle features from concept to order. The focus is currently on paint and exterior components, but the scope includes all internal and external features.
What Awaits You?
Key Responsibilities:
· Participate in daily startup meetings to review open features, live issues, and escalations.
· Collaborate with development and project management teams on improvement projects.
· Work within complex systems to transmit and release parts data.
· Ensure logical consistency in part configurations (e.g., correct switches, no duplicates).
· Prepare and circulate release documentation for signature and approval.
· Create detailed parts lists for engineers, specifying what is being removed and added.
· Support a release process that can span from 9 months to 2 years.
What Should You Bring Along?
· Automotive industry experience
· Background in project or release engineering
· Strong understanding of BoM and release logic (plus/minus parts)
· Experience in change management and product development
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
· Ability to work in a systems-heavy environment (90% systems, 10% engineering)
