The GDP Cleaner is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness in all pick slots according to cleaning schedules. This role ensures that all areas are free from dust, disused packaging, and that damaged equipment is replaced. Understanding the principles of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) for medicinal products is essential, with mandatory training and annual refreshers.
Responsibilities:
1. Clean all pick faces in the warehouse, including library, manual line/gravity feed, bulk, and automats as per specified cleaning schedules.
2. Conduct scheduled low-level cleaning activities and dust control.
3. Ensure the cleaning schedule is signed off by the Manager or Team Leader at the end of each shift.
4. Identify and report any failures in completing the cleaning schedule to the Manager or Team Leader.
5. Follow specific training to clean various areas according to work instructions.
6. Adhere to FEFO (First Expired, First Out) when replenishing stock.
7. Replace worn barcode holder strips and shelf labels; liaise with the Manager or Team Leader for stock replenishment.
8. Competently use job-specific equipment and report any equipment failures.
9. Ensure stock removed from the pick face is in acceptable condition (in date and undamaged).
10. Place incorrectly located or damaged stock into a designated sin bin location.
11. Respond efficiently to calls requesting cleaning services.
12. Maintain cleaning stations with clean mops and water.
13. Empty compactors following manufacturer guidelines and clean the compactor area at the end of the shift.
14. Return all cardboard cages to their designated locations within the warehouse.
15. Separate cardboard and plastic packaging for proper waste disposal.
16. Secure waste materials in disposal units to prevent environmental pollution.
17. Adhere to all company housekeeping procedures and comply with health and safety requirements.
18. Carry out reasonable requests from Branch Management.
Qualifications:
Educated to GCSE level.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of cleaning experience in a warehouse environment is highly desirable.
Skills and Knowledge:
* High visual accuracy.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Good numeracy and literacy.
* Ability to work independently and take initiative.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Strong customer care orientation.
