Catering Assistant
Location: Wymondham
Salary: FTE A GBP 24,413 per annum, Pro:rata A GBP 5,385 per annum
Vacancy Type: Part time, 7.5 hours per week
The Role
The College seeks to appoint a Catering Assistant to provide high:standard support to the Colleges Catering Department.
The College is a member of the Education Trust. The Trust is an expanding multi:academy trust with 13 primary and 9 secondary schools.
Key Responsibilities
* Clean, use and care of the equipment;
* Clean the premises (walls, floors, other surfaces);
* Preparation and cleaning of the dining area;
* Serving meals and refreshments to students and staff.
* Use and care of epos (Till) system
Skills and Qualifications
The personal competencies expected of all College support staff are:
* The ability to communicate clearly and tactfully using appropriate methods and an awareness of the impact of your own communication on others;
* Able to maintain positive relationships with all and able to work as an effective and flexible part of a team; willing to change methods of work and routines to benefit the team;
* Willingness to accept responsibility for your own actions; the ability to prioritise effectively, meet deadlines and accept challenges.
The professional competencies expected of a Catering Assistant are:
* Knowledge of kitchen routines and equipment would be an advantage, but not essential as full training will be given;
* Have the ability to work in a team
The qualifications and previous experience required for a Catering Assistant are:
* No formal qualifications are required, but must have basic level of numeracy and literacy;
* Have written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with other colleagues and students.
