The Site Engineer will be based on our £50m+ Dawson's Corner Scheme, improving a major junction to enhance traffic flow. The Site Engineer is responsible for setting out the site and dimensional controls in accordance with the relevant contract Drawings, Specifications, and Site Surveys. They ensure all relevant tolerances are met without compromising quality or floor space. The role involves reviewing construction outputs and planning the most efficient sequence of operations, emphasizing control of the works, quality, and technical advice. The Engineer will carry out their work following company standards and discharge duties as per the Sisk Safety Statement/Policy.
Responsibilities:
1. Set out the works in accordance with drawings, specifications, and site surveys.
2. Coordinate with project planners regarding construction programs and supplier outputs.
3. Check materials and works in progress for compliance with requirements, observing Sisk Q10 standards.
4. Adhere to all safety requirements outlined in the company safety statement.
5. Contribute to Inspection and Test Plans and ensure supply chain provides necessary test data.
6. Raise RFIs and resolve technical issues with employer’s representatives, suppliers, subcontractors, and authorities.
7. Maintain quality control and records as per procedural and quality plans.
8. Require at least 3 years of post-qualification experience or relevant project-based experience.
9. Communicate effectively in reports and verbally, persuasively and objectively.
10. Display good interpersonal skills and act professionally, influencing others including senior management.
11. Possess working knowledge of Temporary Works Control (TWC advantageous).
12. Hold a Degree/Diploma in Engineering and relevant certifications (SMSTS/MSIC, First Aid, Lifting Supervisor, TWC).
13. Be working towards or be a Chartered Member of Engineers Ireland or ICE.
